DVP recognizes in its activities that the content of the principle of sustainable development is determined not only by a healthy natural environment, but also by the stable economic development of the country, the development of people’s abilities and civil society. Guided by all these aspects of the principle of sustainable development, DVP implements various national and international projects, promotes voluntary activities among residents of various age groups, organizes trainings, seminars focused on the development of social entrepreneurship, sustainability, promotion of regional initiatives and the transfer of good practices in the regions, as well as promoting learning between different generations and cultures.
“Bicycle never die” and for 10 Years we have been working to keep it immortal. Ruotando organisation is located in Lecce in the South of Italy across Jonio and Adriatic sea. In the last 2 years our ‘name’ became CPK, the acronym for Ciclofficina Popolare Knos, where Knos is the cultural centre where we are located. For use bike is a never ending lifecycle made by several pieces with different materials. Each piece can be re-used, re-adapted or transformed in other goods for a new life generating communities of makers, social inclusion and circular economy. Therefore, we can show that the bike is not just a mean of transport but it’s a way of re-thinking society trying to overcome political, social, economical and environmental issues.

By strengthening the KUAS uniqueness and cherished values, the community implements the KUAS environmental policy. KUAS has traditions that help foster communion: are organized external meetings are organized; events bringing together the KUAS community, developing eco-awareness, expanding the understanding of Kolping’s teaching/learning principles, such as Community Day, World Kindness Day, Tolerance Day, Earth Day, Car Free Day, No Buying Day.
